PCM 15: what are the main focus for the game this year?
The new "Pro Cyclist" gamemode is the main focus for this year.
This a brand new mode that has been built from scratch with a totally new experience for players. Instead of managing a team, you'll play a young rider that you'll developpall over his career, that's a whole new story, something that has been ask for long time by the community. The first tests and feedbacks about this new gamemode are very positive.
Of course that's not the only point we're working on, we do not let aside the other parts of the game. Our main focus for the career mode are the riders development (caracteristics/training/evolution), the scouting and development teams.
We also continue to work on the race with a main focus on AI for "easy" hilly stages, cobbles and mountain.
For the "easy hilly stages", we've improved the AI for riders who are good sprinters that can hang-on in the hills, there are plenty races at the world tour level that finish that way with 30 or 50 riders in a reduced bunch sprint.
The riders who target those stages depends on the real difficulty of the climbs, let's say for instance that the last climb is steep and very close to the finish, don't except for instance a 72-74 HIL sprinter to target this stage but if it's not very steep, his team could work for him.
For cobbles races, the idea is to make more difference between Paris-Roubaix and classics with less cobbles (some flemish classics that could finish with a bunch sprint).
It's not a on/off system but it depends of the difficulty, numbers and where are the major sectors. This should create more variety and it's more realistic because for instance races like Kuurne or Gand Wevelgem often finish in a bunch sprint.
For mountain, the main point is to improve the strategy of the favorite's teams, like making a proper "climber's train" when they have enough good climbers at the bottom of the last climb.

In the beta manifest you spoke about a new game mode. Can you speak us more about this game? On our community (http://www.cycling-m...n-bel-regalino/) some users start speaking in november about a “be a pro Mode” caused by speculation about PCM 14’s IA auto mode. Did they match their expects?
Yes as I already said on the previous question, it's indeed the "Pro Cyclist" gamemode.
The speculations about the IA auto mode are quite fun because while it would not have been possible to do it without this, both were not planned together.
After PCM14, we had this "auto" mode and suddenly we said : "Now that all our riders can do their races without player's inputs, it's not that hard to make the "Pro Cyclist" gamemode. It's in fact not so easy to create this mode because there are all the manager part which are a big thing, so let's say it was a good thing to have the "auto" function.
To give more details about the gamemode: you start with a young talent between 19 and 22 years old, choose your main speciality (sprinter, climber, etc...) and then sign for a continental team.
During the season, you manage closely your fitness parameters, training (with the possibility to make a pure specialist rider or to developp several domains if you want a polyvalent rider), race calendar and cyclist evolution.

Will there be any major changes or new features in career mode?
cf question 1.

Will there be any major changes or new features in IA/gameplay?
cf question 1.

Focusing about this did you consider for now to add major interactions player-IA in the game?
No that's not something we consider for 2015. I think it's more wise to enforce the gameplay and AI rather than again add a new "layer" of interactions...but why not in the future?

Will there be any major changes or new features in Multiplayer mode?
We've worked the previous monthes to fix several problems in Multiplayer mode (cf the multiplayer update we released for PCM14) and also add the possibility to play custom tours. At this point multiplayer features have not been decided but I think the main goal will be to keep a good stability.

After three years from its introduction what’s your balance of Armada mode? Are you satisfied of the switch from Gamecenter to Armada?
It's difficult to say we're satisfied because first, as a developper you're never satisfied and also there were all the technical problems that happened, so it was disapointing for us. However the old gamecenter was extremly limited with not many rooms for improvments, so without Armada, there would be nearly no evolution on this part.
We got also a lot of positive feedbacks and more players than before, so there were a clear signal that some players wanted something new, so it was also a satisfaction.
We are also aware that not all the players are fully happy with that and some of you would prefer a classical multiplayer gamemode, I think the best would be to find a balance between the old and the new mode.

Are there some changes in editing stuff like stage editor, db editor and evertything can made the modders happy?
There are some minor changes for the stage editor. Plus as we do each year we add new assets (buildings, objects...). For db editor, i can't give you information as this point, it's still a discussion "work in progress".

What are (or what can you say about) the long-term plan of Cyanide for the next-PCMs? Are there some features you want to view in the game?
We can't say much about the long-term plans for the next PCM's. Of course we're checking very closely how the real world of cycling will developp in the next monthes because there should be a lot of changes in the whole organization of the sport : the new divisions, new calendar and maybe new technologies that will change the vision of this sport very soon.
The new "Pro Cyclist" gamemode is something we want to develop with a long-term view and we think a lot of players will be interested with this new experience.

Will there be any major changes or new features in Tour de France for console?
Yes! I'll let the Tour de France's team developp the new features, they have also nice things to show :)
